According to whether there are auxiliary devices in the slitting process, the slitting rolling method can be divided into two categories: the pass slitting rolling method and the tool slitting rolling method.
① Pass slitting rolling method (also known as roll cutting method)
Through the specially designed pass, using the function of the cutting wedge in the pass, the parallel rolling pieces are separated while being plastically deformed during the rolling process, and a rolling piece is directly cut into two or more single pieces along the longitudinal direction. Root rolling. This kind of slitting rolling feature does not need to add other equipment, thereby reducing various possible failures caused by increasing production links, and has the characteristics of high productivity, low energy consumption and low finished product cost.
②Tool slitting rolling method (also known as slitting method)
In the rolling process, the rolling stock is rolled into a parallel rolling stock with a thin connection strip by using the pass, and then the parallel rolling stock is separated with the help of special tools.
According to the different deformation mechanisms, the pass rolling method can be divided into the pulling method, the dislocation method and the torsion method. It can also be used in the rough rolling stage of finished product production. The staggered method can be used to cut diamond, square and hexagonal parallel rolling pieces, and can cut more than 3 pieces. The torsion method is mainly used for the slitting and rolling of multiple round bars.
According to the different slitting tools used, the slitting rolling methods include the slitting wheel method, the disc shearing method, the slitting guide roller method and the slitting guide guard method. The above are all non-cutting processing. In the process of billet production, flame cutting is also used to separate the parallel rolling pieces.
There are many advantages of split rolling, and the economic benefits are very significant. Whether it is a new rolling mill or an old rolling mill renovation, the split rolling process is more suitable. The main advantages are as follows.
①The number of stands can be reduced or the billet with larger section can be used. Under the condition of the same billet section, the number of rolling stands can be reduced by adopting the split rolling process.
②It can significantly improve the productivity of the rolling mill Compared with the traditional rolling process, the split rolling can shorten the rolling time, thereby speeding up the rolling rhythm and increasing the machine-hour output.

⑤ The structure of the pass can be changed (change the asymmetric pass to the symmetrical pass) in the section steel rolling, the adjustment of the asymmetric pass and the control of the dimensional accuracy of the product have always been difficult to solve when producing products with asymmetric cross-sections. In this way, two asymmetrical sections can be combined into a symmetrical section for rolling, and finally cut and formed, so as to solve the above-mentioned problems well.
